Comment:

One of my favorite tapes for a variety of reasons; probably my craziest quilt of genres. My most recent acquisition at the time was the first Wondermints cd. It was the most inspired thing I'd heard in years, and I was driven to plumb the depths of my record collection for my best pomp-rock and sad/pretty songs. It also has that kick-butt Redd Kross song! The title is a poke at those soundtrack cd's that have songs that weren't even in the movie. I couldn't make a movie I'd care to see but the songs would be bitchin'.

Great mix! James Taylor (hey, I like that song!), Redd Kross and Rush on the same C90 earns my respect. BTW, I'm not familiar with that Think song. Perhaps we need to trade sometime so you can turn me on to it.

I don't have it either. I heard it on
the Howard Stern show a few years
ago, and then saw it written up
in a Boston Globe article about
"message" records. As big as my
archives are, I'm sort of light on
the Doctor Demento/Weird Al product.
