Comment:
Somebody who hangs out on this site turns 40 today. With a little help from the USPS, he should get this CD in the mail today. There are 40 songs, each less than two minutes, on one CD. Happy birthday!Feedback:
Brilliant. I haven't heard that john prine track in years.
a very nice gift, he probarbly love it
This looks almost uniformly great, Mr. Twang.
Excellent work!!
40 songs on a cd!!!
40 songs on a cd!!!
Mad props for Cub Koda, dog!
but what are you gonna do when he turns 50???
Really nice mix.
Now that I've finished listening to this, I have to say I'm really impressed by the consistent high quality of these selections! The shortness of the songs is a perfect non-complimentary complement to an old man's shrinking attention span, as well as an aethetic reflection of those too rapidly shortening years. (I guess I should thank you for not closing the CD with "The Day is Past and Gone"!) And given the wide variety of styles represented, this CD will make a wonderful resource when I have a couple of extra minutes available on a new mix tape or CD that I'm making. Thanks!!!
I thought about putting Chilton's "It's Your Funeral" as the last song, but finally decided to go for a lineup that's mostly chronological. But "The Day is Past and Gone" followed by "It's Your Funeral" would be a nice sequence...
Very nice, great idea for a mix!
