Comment:

While compiling this mix for my wonderful girlfriend Beth, I noticed a pattern. All the love songs I kept coming up with were composed by British artists. Coincidence? I think not. Americans=Not Romantic.

I'm pretty sure the Refreshments are mostly not British. Maybe somewhere back the line.

Just to clarify...MP and Aimee Mann are not British, but they are performing a Beatles tune.

The Verve Pipe is based out of Detroit...but the song isn't romantic, so much as sexual.

David Mead certainly sounds British, but is (gasp) from Jersey

The Refreshments are from Arizona. Not a romantic song, so much as a goofy crush song.

Sister Hazel is from Florida

Wilco....umm....somewhere in America...

Teddy Goldstein is from PA.

The comment stemmed from the fact that when I was searching for music to put on this mix, everything I stumbled into was British. I had to search/think harder to balance it out with some American tunes.
