What happens when a pop queen becomes a mature, sensitive artist? Look no further than Mandy Moore for the answer. She was a sweet-sounding teen dream when her first hit, "Candy" (offered here in a Wade Robson remix), sugared up the charts, but since then Moore has added depth to her smooth sonic projects. It's not your typical pop princess who takes on covers like "Senses Working Overtime," from quirky British alt-men XTC, or "One Way or Another," by post-punk icons Blondie — and on tracks like the lovely and lyrical "Extraordinary," from her first self-penned album, [i]Wild Hope[/i], Moore proves she's far more than just a pretty face with a pretty voice.
