Comment:

In this time-traveling ultimate fantasy concert, three very different Elvises — from three very different decades — hit the stage, from swaggering teen to Vegas monarch. His 1954 Louisiana Hayride version of “That’s All Right Mama” blasts from the monitors with a raw, ear-scorching intensity unlike anything that audience — or anyone else, for that matter — had ever heard, and the Hayride signed Elvis on the spot to a one-year contract. In 1968, following a seven-year, gig-free hiatus, a nervous Elvis gutted out a tough-as-nails rockabilly stomp through “Baby, What You Want Me to Do,” erasing all doubt that semi-retirement had dulled his edge. And in 1975, at the zenith of his Vegas reign, after fittingly characterizing the tune as “rough,” Elvis launched into a ferocious “Burning Love,” horns blazin’ and a hallelujah chorus testifyin’. Don’t stop there, though — this is as close as you’ll ever get to being in the audience at the greatest Elvis concert that never was.
