Comment:

There's a world of difference between "hello" and "goodbye," especially in the world of song. "Hello" is the easy part – a simple greeting, or introduction, it contains all of the possibilities of the unknown. "Goodbye" is the statement of finality. The end of the story. It implies something in the past that must be acknowledged and then . . . left alone. No wonder there are so many songs that deal with this last action between two people. Saying goodbye, forever or at least for now, is the subject of La Lista this week.
