Comment:

I don't really think in terms of 'mixed genre' mixes, as is pretty clear from my history on the site. But Buglady asked me to have at it, so here's what happened. I sat in a room amidst a few gazillion cd's and started thinking of songs (and a spoken word piece by Ian Shoals) I really wanted to hear at the moment. No real structure or flow, no theme, but a ton o' great sounds. My only real goal was to represent at least 5 decades of music. By the way, the title is NOT a Genesis or Yes lyric - it's an African proverb that sums up a lot of my personal philosophy and politics. So there.

Gotta agree with Jimmy. As the fat comic book shop owner in the Simpsons might say, "Best Title Ever!".

you'd do well to mix in a little yes or genesis

all I'm saying is yes and genesis actually made great , lasting music and so much of the crap we listen to is just junk and will be as meaningless as a mcdonalds commercial in a year but maybe im just a crank or an ass PLUS i know you love yes and genesis so dont lie or i might vomit in your general direction. i'll smash my secret name shit already - i am johnny and i will use the secret name @ to comment when a particularly odious smirch has been inflicted on the good name of mixin' 'n 'at. be advised you are loved, snacks.
