Comment:
Falling, genre-wise, somewhere in-between sleep, ambient & microsound, this was inspired by the CD, "Smile on the Void" (Hypnos, 2000) by a-produce: an enveloping, environing work of trance-ambient moods; which, (according
to its liner notes), was itself inspired by a novel: "Smile on the Void" (Berkeley, 1982) by
Stuart Gordon. I had gathered enough material for 1-1/2 mixes, and the resultant "cuts" were excruciatingly painful (though the closing Tangerine Dream track was NOT negotiable)...kept looking for a way to meld "one more" bit of textured sound into the project.....(thanks to Junior D for 2021/Sill)*

Feedback:
i really like your cover..
I don't know any of this, but it appears to be something worth waking up for. I like the cover too.
Hey Gene: Many thanks for your email and thumbs up on the SOTV mix. It's always good to hear from a person who's discovered the music for the first time.
"Neroli" is one of my all time favorites of Eno as well--the only thing I've done that comes close to that is called "A Smooth Surface" which I tacked onto the re-issue of "Reflect Like a Mirror, Respond Like an Echo." I always try to throw in a few curve balls on each of my albums.... the first time I did that was on "Inscape & Landscape" on a piece called "The Golden Needle." A lot of listeners were put off by the "intrusive" sound of the guitar solos, but a lot of people liked it.

P.S. Not sure how you happened to discover SOTV but here's a couple browser pointers if you're interested:

P.S. The MP3 site has several tracks that are not unavailable or have never been released.

.he risks his already obscure-genre reputation (and bears his soul) with a poem about his mix.

wow, looks really beautiful, excellent cover, perhaps my favorite yet. i would love to hear this one, gene. welldone.
ever always pushing the envelope, mister labs. the eno/wobble and s. roach are the only sounds i'm familiar with, but if your past works are any indication, this is yet another bee-yoot of an experience.

Ok, everyone.I just got this mix... it is really, really nice and very deep. Works well for both those rainy grey days or those glistening sunny mornings. Lovely indeed, my favorite GAB selection to date. Inspired.
Not do I just adore the cover, but the tape itself sounds yummy.
