Guitarists Robert Forster and Grant McLennan formed the Go-Betweens in Brisbane, 1977, inspired by the punk of the Saints yet creatively driven by a passion for early Bob Dylan and the Velvet Underground: by 1983, after moving to the U.K., the band had established itself as a buzz-fueled cult entity on the back of tracks like "Cattle and Cane."
