Comment:

What you're about to hear are the turn-it-up tracks that shook '70s rock to its core. There's only one way to truly appreciate this playlist: listening to it loud, from its nod to Southern-fried rock (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet) and rock deities (Jimi Hendrix, the Who) to such wild and woolly developments as punk (the Ramones, Television, Iggy Pop during his peanut butter-and-blood years), hard rock (Deep Purple, Cheap Trick), leather-studded heavy metal (Judas Priest, UFO), and glam-rock that glittered like a room full of disco balls (David Bowie, T. Rex). All of which have one thing in common: guitar theatrics as loose and lethal as the limbs of a dojo master.
