Comment:

A lot of songs I've used over and over again. But the beauty of making mixes for people is that they don't know what's been on the mix you've made for everyone else. Thus, I don't feel it is imperative to continually change artists just to achieve a sense of legitamacy. When a friend of mine (his name be Joey) asks me for a "old-schoolish" punk mix I say, "I won't be able to give you anything great, but I'll give it a shot." And that shot includes these, some of my favorites which I think he should hear. I'd say a good half of these songs are making at least their second appearences on cd's i've compiled (and i can't count the number of times i've written "california uber alles"...each time without the umlauts i might add). Hey, at least I changed the song order. Peace friends. Oh yes, thanks again to Teapin for tracks 24 and 26. I think it is time for a nap.

This looks great. I'd be happy with this mix regardless of the recycling. Lots of mustlistentothises.

PUNK FUCKIN' RAWK! You know why I like this? Because you don't pretend that any good punk has been produced in the last 15 years.

Sean, there has been good punk produced in the last 15 years - Bad Religion, for one...NOFX, for another. Need I go on? Punk is NOT dead...it's just hiding from all the scary pop shit for the moment.
