Adam Ant
Comment:
While "Making History," from B-Side Babies, wasn't technically a B-side, this early track captures the high-energy tribal whoops and thumps that established the Ants and set the stage for Anabella Lwin and Bow Wow Wow's theatrics. Despite its punk-sounding title, Ant's "Baby, Let Me Scream at You" (from his solo album Strip) sashays with the danceable new romantic groove of early ABC and Thompson Twins. And the mega-rare Jim Morrison-meets-Morrissey epic, "Cleopatra (Live)," was written back in the era before the Ants had even signed a deal, but this version was recorded during the tour supporting Ant's last solo album, Wonderful, and was only released as a B-side before its inclusion on the download-only Extra Wonderful compilation.
