Comment:

Vixen. Goddess. White witch. Stevie Nicks personified all that and more, stealing headlines in Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist/object of fantasy as the macramé-adorned '70s gave way to the mousse-abusing '80s. She not only claimed the spotlight on what was then the biggest-selling album of all time, Rumours, but she also launched a solo career that kept her star blazing during those times when the Mac was on hiatus. And she was by no means just another pretty face — her tunes, including "Landslide," Rhiannon," "Dreams," and "Sara" were key in Fleetwood Mac's meteoric rise in popularity, and her vocal talents were much in demand from rock's royalty, including Sheryl Crow, Chris Isaak, and Tom Petty, among others. Thirty years on, she still exudes that witchy mystique that landed her in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
