Comment:
Inspired by the 'las vegas grind' series and beloved (and departed) WFMU (Newark NJ) personality The Hound, this one careens from crazy 50s combos to honking saxes to hardcore r&b types to garage and brit R&B (Wray's 'Ramble' is not a typo) to more grind ('beat generation' was ripped by richard hell for 'blank generation'), cheerfully bent jump blues-ers and yet more grind, all the while keeping the sleaze quotient high as possible. Not for the faint of heart.Feedback:
this is simply filthy. makes me wanna paint my nails with white-out (TM), drink some malt liquor and shoplift all those issues of 'jugs' magazine i've had my eye on down at the adult entertainment emporium for months now.
Stumbled across this mix by accident...Great stuff! Longtime 'FMU listener here, too, and you're right about missing "The Hound". I try to catch Rex's show on Saturday afternoons these days, which is a noble successor to the Hound's sounds...
I love that Vegas grind!
