Comment:

Since just about everybody seems to be looking on and reappraising their glorious musical post-adolescence these days, I flipped through some old vinyl the other night and came up with this strange little collection of some of my favorite 80s raves, arranged in alphabetical order, exactly as they came off the shelves. Lots of great, mostly (and unjustly) long-forgotten stuff, and some of the best records I ever had the honor of listening to (okay, I might be exaggerating a little). And there's not even one note by Blind Idiot God, Perennial Divide, 4000000 Telephones, Mancubs, Diatribe, the divine Adrian Sherwood etc. etc. here. Hell, I might make this into a series after all . . .

Eugene Chadbourne put on one of the greatest performances I have ever seen. No one plays the rake like him.

Good stuff Mr. Howl, althought there's plenty I don't recognize. Great Danielle Dax and Age of Chance picks, and who knew that someone else on the planet had something by Zooey.

I'd like to hear this Thomas. I know little of the artists, so it would be fun, I think

Looks like a hip trip. How did Naked Raygun & The Tarbabies find their way into your vaults?

Jeee-ZUS! Your 80s were certainly nothing like mine! But, after hearing this (I'm on track #23, the "omnipresent" 23)I believe it safe to say we were both in full debauch back then! Great mix.., thanks for the wisdom! ..and the Electro Hippies, the Guanabatz, Stump, etc..huzzah.....danke...
