Comment:
These are a few of my favorite songs from Butch's "No Two Alike" series, 14 tapes recorded over the course of six nights in 1990 at the Cactus Cafe in Austin, Texas. Butch and his friends (Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Townes van Zandt, and others) performed 140 of Butch's songs. Wish I could have been there!Feedback:
Great! Maybe we could trade sometime? I'm really interest in this one!
I wouldn't mind hearing more of Butch's stuff, as well. I love that first (now that there's a recently-released second, I have to say that) Flatlanders album.
I always get a kick out of that version of "99 Holes" where Jimmie Dale Gilmore keeps losing his place.
