Terry Parsons had been an "offal boy" (whatever that is) for a tobacco company, a soldier and a bus driver before he changed his name to Matt Monro and became England's premier crooner at the dawn of the '60s. Three great movie themes defined his career and showcased his gloriously pure pipes: the ever-gorgeous "Born Free", "On Days Like These" from the Michael Caine heist comedy [i]The Italian Job[/i], and "From Russia With Love" from the second James Bond movie.
