i made this for a girl who tends to like the country music on the radio (which isn't really country at all) and other various pleasant-sounding things. She's a dancer, and her spirit flies amazing. She's a hopeless romantic, too. I wasn't trying to get a hint of every little nuance that Ani puts into her music; i focused a little on the romance of things, making sure to include the message in "letter to a john," which suggests that gender roles are bullshit (i'd like everyone to question that, you know?), and "garden of simple" is so ... yes. and so on and so on. i tried!
