Not a "best of" or even strictly my favorites. Just a mix to relax to on the beach, in the car, bed, shower or wherever the cd player happens to be. I'm indebted to those on the site that have given me a new appreciation for their 70's work. Grab a board and a can of Sex Wax ;-)

This is a *really* fine Beach Boys mix, Scott. It's cool that you chose to blend their more experimental material with Mike Love-approved favorites like "Help Me Rhonda" (not that there's anything wrong with that song). Thanks everyone, and yes Rob, I did check out your BB's mixes -- they were some of the mixes that made me go back and relisten to discs 3 & 4 of the Good Vibrations box set! As for Mike Love...maybe next mix I'll try to get a copy of his rant at the BB's RNR Hall Of Fame induction ;-)
Ooh--I'd love a copy of that! :-) (Although repeated listenings to that may be harmful to mental health, in general.) And I feel badly about directing you to my BB mixes now that I noticed that sentence in your comments above. I'm glad I could be of help to you, though... a lot of their 70's work *is* amazing.
Fantastic collection. Not a bum track here, though it is tough to limit them to one disc. I second the commendation on mixing the pop hits with the weird shit - that's what is so great about this band. Damn few artists can achieve that.
