Immensely versatile, boundary-pushing singer-songwriter Paul Brady absorbed all manner of styles during his Northern Ireland childhood — from swing and jazz to the rock 'n' roll piano of his heroes Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis — before emerging from the cover band holiday scene of County Donegal as a serious force in folk. His interpretations of traditional songs, including the landmark "The Lakes of Pontchartrain", fast became standards. Our Next Steps span three decades of Brady.
