Comment:

A fixture on London's late-'60's coffee shop folk circuit, and a singer on Fairport Convention's 1973 album, [i]Rosie[/i], Linda Thompson made her mark as one of the finest voices in homegrown folk-rock throughout the '70s, working with husband Richard Thompson (another Fairport fugitive). Two years after marrying, they made their album debut with [i]I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight[/i] (1974): the title track follows 2007's outstanding "Versatile Heart".
