My wife thinks it's funny that I look all over the internet for cd covers...then she saw this pic taken by the Hubble Space Telescope and asked me to put it on a mix for her (no, the words were not floating in space like a George Lucas film ;-) Some stuff she knows and likes + my usual attempt to turn her onto new stuff (thanks for the Crazy Elephant tune, Ion), and some of my weird sense of humor tacked on for good measure (where did the cliche "good measure" come from...oh, never mind!).

Fantastic Chris Bell selection, among others. Not a fan of Pink or Sheryl Crow (or Shakira for that matter), but hey, it's for your wife, so you gotta do what ya gotta do, right? What are Crazy Elephant like? (if Ion likes it, I probably would too).

Thanks everyone. Acutally, Sue, my wife asked for the Pink and Shakira albums for Xmas, but she hasn't listened to them much, so I threw the songs on here for her. Crazy Elephant is a Bubble Gum group from the late 60's, though this song has more of an R&B/Stax feel (I think so, anyway!).
Hmmm, sounds exactly like my wife....wild with variety here. Hope it hits the mark!

Great mix Scott! I missed it the first time due to the Barbie Collectors Convention (your friend is only one doll away from correctly identifying all the Mod mix cover gals BTW) Some great stuff here, as well as a few concessions to your girlfriend (which just shows how sweet you are!) My girlfriend surprises me sometimes when she tells me she likes something obscure that I'm playing on the stereo. She's more into Disney soundtracks, Guns 'N' Roses and Air Supply.
Oh I almost forgot -- great work on the cover too! Like you, I didn't make covers for the the first few mixes I posted. Now I feel obligated to create something for every mix.
