Comment:

Time rang heavy changes on the sound of Suicidal Tendencies. The rampaging rage channeled into carefully controlled bursts of jackhammer thrash on "Trip At the Brain" signaled the full force of their punk-metal merger, but the musical mutation wasn't over yet. Before moving on to Metallica, bassist Robert Trujillo brought some funk into the band. You can hear a bit of it on the hit "I'll Hate You Better," mixed with metal guitars and a near-pop chorus for one of their most radio-friendly singles. But "Lost Again" is where Suicidal Tendencies finds its punk funked up into a real Red Hot Chili Peppers moment, getting up in your grill with a hip-hop/metal groove.
