Comment:

On two, 80-minute CD's. A whole bunch of my personal favorite Canadian bands, since the North By North East music fest is this weekend, and for the first time in 3 years, I'm going to miss it. More than 60% of these acts are defunct, but it's still 100% fun. Title is from an old Thomas Trio And Red Albino song. You might be able to notice my little mini-themes in this mix. Double-sigh.

Whoa, are you in the east end? Hard to tell when North York and Scarborough are so homogeneous. I was thinking of doing a Canadian mix to dispute American ignorance that Canada is boring, or even Canadians who say "we have no distinct identity", when really it's the best country in the world, musically and in terms of quality of life!
