Comment:
This was a tape I made for a girl I had a huge crush on who transferred at the end of the scholastic year... I made her a tape, and she seemed genuinely enthused, despite the fact that she likes Dub and DnB and SoCal hippie stuff and I like poparollapunk. We got along famously, and I wanted to say that I wished I'd had the courage to take things further while I had the chance (hence the ToD song). I probably should've put The Smiths' 'Hand in Glove', but the refrain of "I'll prob'ly never see you again" seemed a bit grim, though appropriate. She's probably since tossed the tape, but hopefully she hung onto it.There's really not too much significance to most of the songs... I just wanted to put a few of my favourite tunes on here so she'd have something to remember me by... well, except maybe the Peaches' "Just because I don't say anything/Doesn't mean I don't like you", and Weezer, of course... "Why are you so far away from me?"
Shit, okay, nevermind, this is one morbid tape.
Feedback:
Fucking-a, dude. Very nice tape. Heartbreaking, but well done anyway.
If a guy gave me a tape with trail on it, I'd probably ask him to marry me right there and then...
Antbabe, that is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, the sweetest thing anyone's ever said to me in a state of (presumable) sobriety. Thanks.
i say yeh yeh
damn, I wish a guy would make me a tape like that!
