Comment:
Opener is an ultra-rare, note-perfect setting of the Gilligan lyrics to Stairway music -- Zep's lawyers went bat-shit) -- and it's all downhill from there. Soulful Flintstones, newish sounds (Cornershop, Luna) leading into an instrumental suite of neosurf/exotica/sleaze, yet more sleaze (don't miss teenage cannibal tale 'goo goo muck'); international sounds lead side two -- a cambodian cathouse rocker, japanese garage ca. 1967, brazil classic, into soul segment, raucous guitar break, classic Ray Davies anti-semitism, genderbenders from Josie & Joan, vocalese, the Shangri-Las rip Beethoven and Django jams on Bach. Any questions?Feedback:
whoa, this looks pretty snazz.
Wow - someone else loves that Kinks tune...
