Comment:

this mix is inspired partly by an admiration of the legs of football players at the world cup, partly by a reminiscence of living in england during the world cup trials and hearing vindaloo at every turn (hated it at the time, now it has a certain post-trip nostalgia), and finally, volunteering against my good sense to run in a 10km charity event. so there's no better excuse to make a mix of semi-crap football songs than having to (gulp) train to run 10km, so here is my mix of football tunes, some good post-50s danceable pop, and the occasional electronic-type song. a bit eclectic, but the motivational dialogue should get me laughing if not running... warm up and cool down provided courtesy of belle and sebastian, and crossing the finish line commentary provided by a south american television commentator.

This mix scores with me. Great to see those hooligans Feminine Complex and Marilyn Monroe on a mix devoted to soccer.
