Led by Greg Gilbert's skyscraping, occasionally cracked-round-the-edges falsetto, and doused in enough melody to recall the finest moments of the La's, Delays announced themselves with 2004's magnificent [i]Faded Seaside Glamour[/i] — where some of their Brit rock contemporaries chose to shoulder-charge their way to the top, these lads took a more transcendental approach. Cue up "Nearer than Heaven" and "Hey Girl", and you'll believe a band can float. Delays jumpstart their jangle, in Next Steps.
