There are crews, and then there’s the Long Beach/Compton clique Snoop's rolled with since his time on Death Row, who’ve flipped days of backyard barbecuing and nights of club crawling into [i]years[/i] of stone-cold classics. As one-third of 213, Warren G tracked his earliest demo with Snoop and Nate Dogg before handing it over to his half-brother, Dr. Dre, and sparking [i]The Chronic[/i]. Not that Warren needed any help cutting his own insta-classic; "Regulate" is Fort Knox-solid G-funk gold — a moonlit joyride down the hustler-heavy streets of the LBC. Xzibit? He isn't related to [i]anybody[/i], but he's still part of Snoop's "family," right down to the synth stabs and bass bombs that Dre drops on "X." And then there's 2Pac, a Death Row demigod who brought his maple-syrup-thick R&B groove to the gangsta/gigolo choruses of "How Do U Want It."
