Comment:

The strip club mix is kind of a funny animal. It generally should include great songs that seem to be made for strip clubs, great songs you never thought you would hear at a strip club, and songs that become great after being heard at a strip club. Recently, about 7 friends of mine and I out of nowhere decided to head downtown to the local gentlemen's club... for most it was their first time... others, our second. This kinda turned into our second annual adulthood rite of passage-- when someone turns 18, it just seems natural to take them to a T&A bar. This particular trip was so memorable, considering the wide variety of people we got to go and the whole spontanieaty of it, that the mix includes other parts of the evening as well. Someone had the idea to buy a bunch of 32s of Schlitz and Hurricane... so we got sloppy drunk and listened to fu manchu and the coup before we left. We couldn't have felt cooler than we did cruising up to the highly neon-lighted building with outkast blaring. When we got in most of what was playing was bad 80s hair metal and worse 90s pseudo metal. What made the night especially nice were the exceptions: two girls actually danced to 'ring of fire' and 'drown'. I always like coldplay and j.e.w. OK, but 'yellow' and 'crush' sounded so much cooler with nude women dancing to them. Some songs were picked for obvious reason... others were just really sexy songs... or just had that stripper-rock (this is now a genre i'm making up) appeal to them. And, we all tried to rap along to 'Break your neck' in the car on the way home, feeling as dirty and goofy as ever.

Sexcellent mix you have here. Nice variety, especially The Coup, 764-HERO, and Eels tracks. Are you up for a trade?

As a girl, I am highly offended by strip clubs. And yet, I would almost turn dancer for a night just so I could take a turn at the pole with Rammstein's version of Depeche Mode's "Stripped."
