Hercules and Love Affair debuted in the fall of last year on New York's esteemed DFA label with their Classique #2 EP, something that immediately caught our attention with its acid house sound. Then the buzz around the disco single "Blind" started to build, and Antony Hegarty's vocal haunted nightclubs around the globe. When the EP was released in the US a month ago, we finally got the awesome club mix, featured here, as well as a track you won't find on the album, "Shadows." Andy Butler, the mastermind behind the Hercules and Love Affair sound, has put his touch on a handful of other artists' tracks, including the undeniable "A & E" remix for the UK's Goldfrapp, the smooth pulse of Aeroplane's "Whisper" (featuring disco chanteuse Kathy Diamond), plus labelmate Babytalk's new release, and the funky sounds of Chaz Jankle.
