Comment:
Listener Status 42. Originally I set out to make this cd for Mr.Gablabs, as a sort of intro to electronic musics recent past (aka early 90's influential, post rave beats, beginnings of downtempo and "IDM"). It is sort of that, but really it ended up being a super flashback to summer '94, which was a crazy summer for me. I drove across the country with my freaks, saw 14 Dead shows in a month, and then returned to Chicago to do some serious chilling in a house where my friends all moved. It was a great summer and this is sort of the soundtrack of the great vibe that was set. Along with this, we all listened to alot of Dead shows, tons of dub and lots of house (especially dj Jeno for SF's "Bang the Drum"... classic!). Just add a bunch of sexy mexy, and we are right there again. Anyway, GAB will still get this, and it serves its original purpose, while also really making me and me peeps very happy. Enjoy!

Cool, vibes! Love the mix, a true inspiration for me to get off my arse and make a mix. Just had a look at your other mixes, sweet...

Lunatic Calm has a cooool tune entitled "The Sound that I like to play when Nordic Tracking. Looks like I'll be taking this along for the "ride" as well.

Your pictures so cool. But I could never look at it stoned! This is your tree on crack.
awesome cd, love the nightmares on wax track. that mustve been nuts goin to all those dead shows in one month, wish i couldve just been in the car with this cd blaring.
I made it to 19 (not in one month) Dead shows. Funny how I've come across lots of people with diverse music tastes who admit to being Deadheads at one time. I think jamband people are a little too fundamentalist in their listening (only one or two bands devoutly), but at least with the Dead your getting a good primer on folk music, Stockhausen, fusion jazz, etc, etc.
