Comment:

The biggest decision here was which of the 5 or 6 versions of Over The Rainbow I have to close with. It's been raining in Austin for over a week. I'm starting to think it's just not going to stop. A friend of mine posted on her online journal that Texas was drowning, and soon therafter I was reminded how much I love songs about rain. I love all of these songs, nothing felt like a theme-stretch.

Wonderful...the mix, not the flooding, of course. Allow me to dedicate Austin's own Stevie Ray Vaughan perfoming "The Sky Is Crying." Hopefully it'll help to dry things up.

Yo, an excellent dedication to the flood that devestated much of central Texas, including my hometown of New Braunfels. That was a crazy time to be Texan! My wife and I drove along some of the rivers in January after six months, and it looked as if the floods had just subsided. Word has it that the Comal and Guadelupe rivers will be open for tubing and rafting this summer, but still several of these businesses will not be re-opening. Oh, your mix...I don't recognize the Okkervil River song, where is it from?
