i got the idea to sort of deconstruct jason pierce and put his songs amongst the various styles that have gone into them. i made it for a friend but i had no idea if she'd like it at all, i just wanted to make it. the "ladies and gentlemen" is a combination of the album and "elvis" versions and "cop shoot cop..." crossfades to the live version, which was simply borne of my inability to reduce the huge bass buzz in the last part of the studio version, it sounded awful on tape so during the noise, which had to be shortened also, i just switched over, and i used mixvibes for both edits.
