A CD for a couple of friends whose birthdays were in the same month, Clarisa and Erin. The title is from the incredible Maya Angelou poem "Phenomenal Woman." The cover is a Nike postcard that Clarisa really likes. It says, "If I turn back now no one will know. Except me. Damn." (June 2001)

Thank you! This was a fun one to put together. A lot of those songs are powerful personal anthems and the other ones are songs I listened to a lot around then ... I realized as I posted this mix that I never made a copy for myself and don't have some of the songs anymore. I'll have to borrow the CD back and make a copy for me!
