Rock de los '80s
Comment:
When Saúl Hernandez and Caifanes covered the cumbia classic "La Negra Tomasa" in 1988, they kick-started what would later become the Latin alternative movement, a genre that fuses traditional Latin music with contemporary rock and alternative sounds. Los Lobos were "just another band from East LA" who struck gold with their cover of Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba," which was featured in the smash bio-pic of the same name. One of Chile's biggest musical exports, Los Prisioneros offer their take on romantic Euro-pop with "El Baile de los Que Sobran."
