This list compiles some junior high & early high school favorites, & the rest I heard little by little during the 90's. No, this doesn't represent all the "rock" of 1990, but mainly the alternative/modern rock that most people had never heard, and STILL haven't.....still good stuff that shouldn't be ignored!! There was enough from that year to make 2 cds, but I just put them all on one playlist so I wouldn't have to dig out half the songs that are on my cds. Listed in order of favoritism, they all come from a long 1000 modern rock song list I made years ago. Go to

Bless your sweet soul for the Alice in Chains. Damn I love that band; I wept for Layne Staley. 1 doesn't see the Charlatans around too pften either, so kudos for that. Out.
