There's no critical consensus involved here – this is just the numbers. They're the album tracks and singles that received the most attention from iTunes customers throughout the past 12 months. Here are the top 100 best-selling tracks on iTunes for 2008. The No. 1 spot went to Leona Lewis, the British powerhouse whose second single, "Bleeding Love," broke records throughout the year. Following Leona is Coldplay. With a big tour and significant radio airplay, their album's title track, "Viva la Vida," became the year's rock anthem and the second most downloaded song. Rounding out the top three is Flo Rida's ubiquitous party anthem, "Low." It was downloaded heavily early in the year, meaning that Flo-Rida and T-Pain grabbed our No. 3 spot, along with just about every car stereo in the nation.
