Comment:

"There is no one finer," Luciano Pavarotti once said of Andrea Bocelli. Like all the greats who came before, from Caruso to Domingo to Pavarotti himself, Bocelli fully inhabits his songs; whether it's the cuckolded clown in Pagliacci, the young Egyptian warrior in Aida, or the lovelorn artist in Tosca, he delves deeply into the emotion, desires, and motivation of his characters, creating a three-dimensional portrait so vividly real, you'll feel what Bocelli's feeling. And with "Ave Maria," "Notte 'e Piscatore" (recorded as a duet with Pavarotti), and other timeless songs from the operatic and classical repertoire, he skips the semantics and gets indelibly to the heart of the matter. And that, to be sure, is the hallmark of a great singer.
