Comment:
This is my second attempt at a Velvet Underground compilation. I was going to wait to make this compilation until after I had purchased the live albums I am missing and Another View but instead I decided to make it now especially for Hannah. Once I get those missing albums I will probably make a two-cd compilation.I probably should have included more tracks with Nico on this compilation. Femme Fatale (which features Nico) was originally included but was removed so the live version of New Age could fit.
Created Sunday, July 14, 2002 on Ryon's computer.
Feedback:
One thing about the VU that's so great is that their albums are so nearly flawless that comps leave out so much. I hope this helps turn on some friends to a great band. "Here she comes now" - hope that makes it to your second volume. Get the first couple Nico and John Cale records too - all too often, Lou Reed's solo career overshadows theirs, when they put out great records as well. Nice job.
They (Nico and John Cale) both put out several records that are better than any Lou Reed record, Sean. Some nice selections here.
