Comment:
Just an exploration in some old punk and new wavy stuff I dug out of the stacks.
Feedback:
I've only heard of two of these groups, so this really intrigues me. Up for a trade at some point, Tom?
wow! a mix endorsed by God. Shouldn't it be labeled "Alternating DJ", Casetta?
Gerard, I'll toss it in your new pile. I put a couple mixes in the post for you on Friday.
You god damn kids! Mna, there's shit here even I'd forgotten. Coulda fit some Clitboys onto the midwest mix, 'though I recall them being a bit thrashy (& preachy).
Shit man this sounds good. I'd love to hear this also. You disc is in the mail too. I the art work I made is very impresive as well I hope you enjoy it.
I'm definitely interested in this one, Tom, although I don't know enough specifics to give you much in the way of comments.
even for an old punk like me, a lot of this is unknown, all american bands ?
These are all indeed American Bands.
Ditto Rob's comments. Are those the same Red Rockers who did China and a cover of Eve of Destruction?
Hmm, Ion, yes they are. The slickness of those recordings had me avoiding this single for years.
First Red Rockers LP is a great Clash knock off. After that U2 was their new sonic gurus.
Aah, Redd Kross and JFA. I feel young again. And that Fang classic - always wish I wrote that one.
I only know 4 or so songs, but this looks really good & the cover is great!
I remember "China". Suffice it to say that I loved it at age 12, but its slickness did indeed keep me from picking up any more of their stuff later.
