Comment:

Mix for an online friend. I tried a somewhat different approach by adding some clips before certain tracks. makes it run like a story sort've...it consists of three sectional parts. striving, love and failure. yep.

I like the idea of filler btw songs. Used to do that on tape but haven't figured out yet how to do it with CDs. Is that the new Flaming Lips? Looks like a cool mix.

Thanks. yeah, on cds, it goes the same way; just make the clips separate tracks. you can only merge them if it's from the same source (at least with my program *mutters*) ...and yes, that is the new Flaming Lips. buying it Tuesday, but had to sample :)

Yeah, I like the "story" idea. I think the spoken parts of the Apples in Stereo's debut abum "Fun Trick Noisemaker," where an announcer describes it as being "the first radio broadcast transmitted from space," did wonders for that album. I like a whole lot of the bands here. Pernice Brothers, Elf Power, Dismemberment Plan, Of Montreal, Am An Set... Interesting mix.
