Comment:
A tape of remixes and rarities... I have never made a single artist mix prior to this, so I decided to start with one of my two favourite bands of all time. I'm going to make a best of mix of the blow monkeys also, but that's causing more problems, as I want to include everything... The title is from a poem by Dr. Robert that is printed on the back of the 'Go Public!' 7" sleeve...Feedback:
Interesting fave band. That first single was indeed great. I'll have to give Limping For a Generation a spin now. Kinda remember it to be overly slick, but who knows, maybe I've finally caught up to what they were doing back then.
dr robert solo is also pretty esp. the first album, lovely group but bad produced, Curtis is always the closest thing to heaven
a best-of of solo dr. robert is also in the works...
Yes I used to like these guys too, and saw them open for UB40 back in the day. Where are they now?
Dr Robert still releases around one solo album a year. He's married with two adorable kids. I've heard various things about the other guys over the years, but I think all have settled into normal jobs but play a bit on the side.
