Comment:

I finally got my copy of the Royal Tenenbaums dvd in the mail over the weekend and I wanted to listen to some of the music, so I decided I'd compile a cd with music from Tenenbaums plus Anderson's other two pictures: Bottle Rocket and Rushmore. I don't own any of the soundtracks so I had to just use what I had and a few songs that I downloaded. I decided to skip pieces from Mark Mothersbaugh score and just go with the "not" original songs. After doing this I've learned that I don't have much from Bottle Rocket and that Royal Tenenbaums had more songs that I liked than any of the other movies. The one song that I really, really wanted to be on here is the orchestral version of Hey Jude at the beginning of the Royal Tenenbaums, but I can't find it anywhere. Enjoy. Bottle Rocket (1-3); Rushmore (4-10); The Royal Tenenbaums (11-21).

Nice...and I don't know about mp3, but there's a special edition soundtrack that has the Hey Jude, a Lennon song, and a few other things...

Cool idea. The Mark Mothersbaugh stuff is also quite good from Rushmore. Anderson is one of today's great American filmmakers.

Excellent...., I'm with Sean---completely, in his assessment. Nice work.

Yeah, me too. I'll be doing this once I gather *all* of the songs in each film (I'm almost there).
