There comes a time in seemingly every AOTM member's posting life that they produce a CD full of people performing songs by other folks. And I know someone else has already used the title here, but I don't care; I've intended to use it myself ever since I started planning this mix a year ago. Yes, I've been meaning to produce this for over a year, which is kind of ridiculous... though I'm glad I held off, cos in the interim I've acquired a number of good things (such as the unlikely spectacle of young Gary Numan doing a punk cover of a Velvet Underground song) that I didn't have when I originally sketched this. Along with straightforward covers, I've also thrown in a few tracks where artists revisit their own material and a couple of unrecognisable reworkings of tunes (initially I thought the Jandek song was actually one of his own songs just using the title of "House of the Rising Sun" until I realised, no, it actually IS a cover version). Thanks to lo-fi jr for the Del-Monas.
