Comment:

Digging a little deeper this time, while still featuring standards. Wanted to include a few dubious choices, to highlight some R&B/country influences. Opening with the mighty Link Wray, a god among men. Wasn't sure about Carl's "Blue Suede Shoes" until I listened to it again and realized just what a friggin' great song it is. So there it is. Dig it!

This is great once again, Sean and I'll want this one too. Excuse me for being pedantic, but wasn't Uranium Rock on vol one?

Gerry is, of course, right. The mistake, however, is that "Uranium Rock" is NOT on volume 1 - rather, that's "Ubangi Stomp". "Uranium Rock" is on this disc. Damn those Warren Smith songs starting with U! I made the correction on the other playlist. Take note, those of you with volume 1 (Greaseball, Lo-Fi, Rob, etc.).

VERY cool, cat! I never get tired of Blue Suede Shoes. In fact, somebody ought to do a Sam Phillips tribute mix. Some of the blues and country he recorded is fantastic as well. By the way, what happened to the title track?

Franklin, the title track from this one is on the excellent vol 1!

True enough. I couldn't decide on the title for the first volume - it came down to those two titles, but I love the Gene Vincent song too much to wait until volume 2 to include it.
