Okay, so here's my picks. I went ahead and also added a category or two (Helps Vent Your Frustration and Makes You Think About Death) just for the hell of it. I would probably make different choices on any given week. In fact, when sending this out in e-mail, I did have alternate picks in some categories, like The Shins "Know Your Onion" for Sums Up Your Teenage Years and Clem Snide "1989" for You Like To Wake Up To. Like Rosie, I haven't actually put this mix down on tape or sorted it into a great mix order yet... It'd be a little difficult, perhaps, to mix Faith No More in with Gordon Lightfoot... but I'd sure love to try. (Oh, and as for You Never Want to Hear Again, out of my CD collection anyway... God, it has never taken me so many drafts to format a mix correctly. For anyone else who does this, make sure you format it as a "cassette" so that the Side Two selections appear as well.

Nice Mazarin and Tahiti 80 picks. I've never seen the video for Fell In Love With a Girl. Whenever I switch on MTV, it's always a bunch of 20-year-olds flashing their breasts.
It was the video for "Fell in Love with a Girl" that initially drew me into the phenomenon that is the White Stripes. 2AM, and I was completely fascinated. This is a fantastic mix.
And, since you asked, "Covered in Rain" is an unreleased John Mayer song he sometimes does live. It's completely amazing.
