Identical twins, and Calgary natives, Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Kiersten Quin got their breakthrough in '98 by winning their local Garage Warz competition, and since then have established themselves as one of the world's most original and charming (they like to tell funny stories onstage) folk-rock duos. In terms of songwriting, Tegan is prolific and Sara is methodical, and lead vocals tend to go to whoever penned the tune. Either way, their sharp, clear voices weave themselves into gorgeous harmony, especially on the unbeatable "Walking with a Ghost."
