Comment:
The first of a 2 disc set, one song chosen for each year since I've been born. Concept wasn't my idea, but I had fun putting it together. I've also come to the conclusion that 1984 was a pertty shitty year in music history...man did I struggle to fill that slot! The title is taken from a photo I used for the cover.Feedback:
I don't know, I've always thought that 1984 was a great year for music... the Minutemen, Husker Du, the Replacements and the Meat Puppets released some of the best albums ever at that point...
Not to mention Lionel Richie, Heuy Lewis, AND Madonna...or not.
I agree, 1984 was a great year for music. Not as great as 1992, but that's okay.
While I have to agree with Rob's assesment of 1984, I've also gotta give you kudos for doing the one and only right thing and putting London Calling on for '79. You've also got my all-time favorite REM song. I might have to steal this idea that you stole from someone else.
