Comment:
Sort of a concept mix, spawned by an evening of drinking Manhattans, and an attempt to make a soundtrack that would fit such an evening. The Leonard Cohen song is the obvious choice for the opener, but then the mix goes through the night. Hip grooves & beats to start off, then getting a little rowdier, then a slow slide into melancholy, followed by a few full-blown sappy tracks. The final track is indicative of the power of my favorite drink. Several tracks here are dupes from other recent mixes, a couple of others were swiped from mixes people have posted recently...thanks to all. (Title from "Big Poppa," natch.)
